Colon Cancer Survivor Joe Bullock

Joe Bullock was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer in 2018. In early 2020 he, along with Trevor Maxwell, founded Man Up to Cancer and the Man Up to Cancer and the Man Up to Cancer – The Howling Place Facebook Group, inspiring men to avoid isolation throughout their cancer journeys.

Joe talked about:

  • How he came to be diagnosed.
  • Why he felt the need to create an online forum for men affected cancer.
  • The role his wife has played in his cancer experience.
  • Why caring for others is important to him.

Joe also talked about the possible warning signs of colorectal cancer which include:

  • Blood in your stool
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Change in bowel habits
  • Persistent cramps or low back pain
  • Feeling bloated
  • Anemia
